SEMAA is a Kindergarten through Twelfth grade program that exposes historically underrepresented youth to activities in the fields of science, engineering and mathematics and to increase the number of these students enrolling in technology-related majors in college. Although SEMAA is committed to serving underrepresented students and their families, the program is open to all students. SEMAA is an enrichment program with emphasis on math, science and technology.

  • Detroit SEMAA offers a wide variety of diversity. Our students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnicities including: African-American, Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, and Native Americans.
  • We service students from over 25 school districts in the Detroit Metropolitan community.
  • Guest speakers from various industries address parents weekly.
  • Parents have created our very own "Detroit Parent Resource Guide", which features various student outreach programs throughout the city.

  • Fall, Winter, & Spring (Saturday Mornings - 7 Weeks each for 3rd through 12th and 6 weeks for kindergarten through 2nd grade)
